Homemade strawberry jam

For breakfast or to use it in some sweet recipe

  • 2 kg of fresh strawberries
  • 4 cups teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup teaspoon lemon juice


step 1

Place the strawberries in a large bowl and press with a fork until mashed (an alternative is the blender).

Pour the strawberries into a large saucepan, add the sugar and lemon juice.

step 3

Put on low heat and stir gently until the sugar dissolves.

step 4

Increase the heat as much as possible and let the mixture boil, stirring often.

step 5

Transfer the jam to sterile jars and seal to store it.
