Homemade mandarin jam

Ingredients

  • 1 kg of tangerines
  • 1 lemon
  • 3 1/2 cups sugar
  • 5 cups water

Implementation

  1. Cut the lemon and tangerines first into four and then into half centimeter slices. Remove the stones and put them in a large bowl.
  2. Add the water and cover well with plastic wrap leaving it outside for a day. The next day, pour the mixture into a saucepan and simmer for about 1 hour and 20 minutes.
  3. Add the sugar, stir to melt and continue cooking for another 1 hour and 20 minutes. Remove from the heat and fill sterile jars.
