Homemade peinirli

Implementation

• 1 sheet of pizza dough
• a little melted fresh butter
• 130 gr. edam or emmental cheese
• 1 large sliced ​​tomato
• 1 small sliced ​​pepper
• oregano

1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Place a baking tray on the bottom shelf of the oven to heat.
2. Spread the pizza dough on your workbench and cut it in half along its small side.
3. Press it lightly in the center so that it thins slightly and fill it in the center with the entire amount of cheese depending on the filling you want.
4. Grasp the two ends and stretch them to create "boats" which is the classic shape of peinirli.
5. Brush the dough with a little butter, place the peinirli on the baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes.
6. Remove from the oven and spread lightly salted tomato slices, capers and sprinkle with oregano.
7. Put the peinirli back in the oven and bake for another 5 minutes.
8. Take them out of the oven and as they are hot, brush them with another little fresh butter.
9. Take them out of the oven, let them stand for 5-10 minutes and serve.
