Ingredients

  • 1/2 tbsp yeast
  • 200 gr. lukewarm water
  • 75 g sugar
  • 400 g flour for all uses
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 25 gr. olive oil
  • 1/2 tbsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
  • 30 gr. chopped walnuts
  • 30 gr. dried grapes
  • 20 cloves

Implementation

step 1

Preheat the oven to 170-180 degrees.

step 2

Place the yeast, sugar and water in a bowl and mix until the ingredients are dissolved. Set aside until the yeast is activated.

step 3

When ready add the flour, olive oil, ground cinnamon and cloves and a pinch of salt. Mix all the ingredients and knead the mixture with your hands (15 ′ minutes) or with the mixer (8 ′ minutes).

step 4

Cover the dough with a towel and let it rest for 30 minutes.

step 5

Stir in the walnuts and raisins to get the filling for the lazarus.

step 6

Divide your dough into 10 small balls (small Lazarus) about 50-60 grams each and do not forget to save a small piece of each "Lazarus" to make his hands.

step 7

Knead and shape the small balls to the body of "Lazarus", in an elongated shape, fill with 1 teaspoon of the filling (optional) and seal the "body". With the rest of the dough, make the hands of "Lazarus" and place them crosswise over his body from back to front.

step 8

Put 2 whole carnations over the arms to create the eyes.

step 9

Place the small buns in a pan with oil paste and bake for 30 minutes, until golden brown.
