It was in 1998 that McDonald's launched a Sichuan anniversary sauce, which seems to be worth its weight in gold today. Or at least sheet metal!
This is what the man in our story believed who gave his car to put the sauce in his hand.
Rachel Marie was the super lucky one to get the 2004 Golf GTI for her dress, while she was looking to exchange it for some collectible badges!
And we are not talking about a can, but a 1,8 liter turbo engine! "I did not even think I would get offers for badges, but he offered me his car," the girl told The Drive.
Looking at it, of course, we learn that such a collectible sauce costs as much as 12.500 euros (one was sold recently), so the owner of the Golf was not so naive.
From the bad luck that is done with the historical sauce, McDonald's released some pieces in their selected stores in the USA on October 7.
Oh… did-did you guys want this? Zech Szechuan Sauce… on a poster & maybe your taste buds: only on 10/7. Full deets at https://t.co/7WUSDF1C3v pic.twitter.com/eT4PxW3fEi
