This which started as a promise of hot chocolate turned into a viral video with millions of views for a teacher in Washington.
Kathleen Fitzpatrick, abetter known as Mrs. Fitz, decided to make a deal with the third grader at Holy Trinity School in Georgetown.
Η agreement was that if he threw a successful shot from the other end of the school basketball court, he would reward the class with a hot chocolate party.
Milont"I knew he would go in, but at the same time I was hoping because I promised them hot chocolate, so he had to go in," she told CNN's Michael Smerconish on December 24.
Η Fitzpatrick told CNN that he usually plays basketball with the kids during the break. "They are always impressed by the smallest shots, so I joked and started this deal," he said.
Fitzpatrick's skills are not surprising, because she has been playing basketball all her life. Her cousin and siblings have also played.
She is a basketball coach for the fifth grade boys at this school. "I grew up around it and I've loved it since I can remember," Fitzpatrick said. Fitzpatrick is a former member of the women's basketball team at St. Louis University. Joseph in Philadelphia and Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
