New York businessman David Silverstein created Chrom, which looks like nail polish, but is intended for application to the teeth and promises colorful smiles, in various shades such as "Sunshine", "Fairy powder", "Mint" and "Arketa".

According to Silverstein, it can even be the new fashion and spread like tattoos. "Maybe you go to work with teeth that match your nail polish or hair color," he says.

Soon, in fact, as he notes, there will be a series of glitter, for even more fancy smiles.

Each bottle of this "magic" temporary toothpaste costs about $ 20. According to its creator, its lifespan is up to 24 hours, without being affected by food or drink. It is very easy to remove by brushing your teeth with toothpaste.

David Silverstein emphasizes that his product is "100% safe" and that it has been prepared by dentists. It does not disclose the "secret" recipe for competition reasons, but notes that alcohol-based dyes are used to make the solvent and that the dyes, which are similar to food dyes, meet the requirements of the law on food, medicine and the cosmetics. "It leaves no stains on your teeth and is not permanent," he says.

Experts, however, express their concerns about the daily use of the product. "I would not be comfortable saying that dental painting is safe without a Material Safety Data Sheet, or MSDS, which contains the complete list of ingredients," dentist David Drew told the NY Post.

"I would not recommend daily use of the product without having in my hands a long-term study that proves it is safe."
