The Culture Committee of the Sotiras Municipality announces the start of the Christmas Events with the Lighting of the Christmas Decorations that will take place on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at 4:00 pm in the courtyard of the Sotiras Town Hall.
Organized Ensembles of the Municipality of Sotiras will participate in the event with stands that will have for sale various Christmas foods and drinks, such as hot chocolate and coffee, crepes, waffles, cinnamon rolls, cupcakes, donuts, cotton candy, popcorn, marshmallows and others lots of treats as well as Christmas crafts and other crafts. All proceeds will be allocated to support the Organized Ensembles and Parents' Associations of the Schools.
Our little friends will have the opportunity to have fun in the children's corner with face painting, making Christmas ornaments, painting and other children's games, while there will be children's mascots and of course Santa Claus who will distribute gifts to the children.
The program will be musically invested by the Florence Savva Conservatory of Classical and Contemporary Studies, the Vassilis Efstathiou and Maria Kofou Music School, the Sotiras Municipal Choir and the musical duo Jules & Pete, while the dance program will be undertaken by the students of the Vision Dance Studio and the Sotira Municipal Dance Club. The Acrobatic Gymnastics department and the Zumba Kids department of the Sotiras Youth Center also participate.
At 18:30 Mayor Sotiras will give the signal for lighting the Christmas decorations with an aerial fireworks show and an impressive fire show, while at the end there will be a raffle with a big prize of an Xbox Series S worth €310. All proceeds will be allocated to the charitable needs of the Sotiras Municipal Volunteer Group.
