The volunteers and the organizing committee of the 6th Pancyprian Avgorou Potato Festival are feverishly preparing, which will take place this year on July 14 at the site of the First Primary School of the Community.
The volunteers have already started the preparations of the potato-based preparations which will be given free of charge or will be available for sale to the visitors of the Festival.
Last week, a group of volunteers gathered at the house of another volunteer, Sofoula Laoutari-Stavrou in Avgorou, where they made pure potato-based jam, while a similar gathering took place at the Adult Employment Shelter of SKE Avgasou Kritoi.
The Pancyprian Potato Festival is expected to gather this year more than 5 thousand visitors who will gather at the First Elementary School of Avgoros to try the fresh potato, a trademark of Avgoros and Kokkinochoria, and to have fun with the upgraded program for this year. which consists of the artists Polina Christodoulou, Nassos Karakostas, Sasha Basta and Giannis Sofilas.
Admission is free, while the festival is under the auspices of the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, Costas Kadis.
