The Municipality of Sotira in an effort to promote and encourage the reduction of disposable plastic organizes the first "plastic free" Christmas event on Sunday, December 15 from 2 pm to 20:30 pm at the Indoor Stadium of the XNUMXrd Municipal Savior and focusing on the artistic program the Christmas Concert with Thanos Kalliris.
The program of the event will start at 2 at noon with a parade with the Philharmonic Band Harmony of the Municipality of Paralimni and dance groups walking in the streets of Sotira and starting from the City Hall and ending at the event hall in the closed hall of the XNUMXrd Primary School. Sotiras School.
The program will include music and dance program from conservatories, dance schools and the municipal choirs of Sotira.
At 4 in the afternoon there will be a fashion show with the participation of Sotira clothing stores.
At approximately 18:30, the Christmas concert with the popular Greek artist Thanos Kalliris will take place.
Kiosks will be set up in the area with organized ensembles and professionals who will offer Christmas delicacies, while in the workshop of Santa Claus will be distributed to children free ecological bamboo toothbrushes to support the work of the Special School Agios Spyridonas Larnaca.
The event will include only recyclable or paper packaging in collaboration with the "Keep our Sand and Sea Plastic Free" program of the travel agency TUI, making it the first "Plastic Free" event, under the auspices of Environment Commissioner Clelias Vassilios.
