Rafaella Makri is 20 years old and comes from Liopetri. And she joined The Voice of Bulgaria! In tomorrow's episode aired on Bulgarian television, the young music student will compete in the Blind Auditions and is expected to impress the judges thanks to her unique voice, having previously passed the casting of the music show.
Speaking to Famagusta.News, Rafaella described her experience at Bulgaria's famous music talent show, her dreams and goals.
My decision to apply for The Voice of Bulgaria was something I had been thinking about for a long time, although I didn't expect it to be this year because I didn't feel ready enough. As a person, I always have the bar high so that I can work harder and get better. But my friends used to tell me to dare and register because you never know where it will go and what I have to gain from the competition. So I signed up at the last minute.
From Cyprus they can watch me via the internet from the Bulgarian TV website b TV Plus
My relationship with music and singing had started at an early age. From the age of 6 I started singing in the school choir both in ensemble and solo, and that's where I realized my passion for music. So I started taking vocal, theory and guitar lessons in a conservatory. Then I started studying at the Music School of Famagusta in Frenaros where from there I started all the necessary music lessons. Also, this is how my relationship with Opera, Byzantine and Traditional music came about, as well as many others. I have participated in various choir conferences with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra as well as in a competition on Cypriot television in the mega "Like A Star". Then I went to study and there I started to specialize in Opera and in pop-rock song I took part in various events of the Music Academy in the field of Opera.
I also had the honor of meeting up close one of the most successful opera singers, Angela Gheorghiu, Soprano from Romania, with whom I had a very interesting interview, which will also be shown on television.
In the summer I had the opportunity to get to know the singer Christos Danti, whom I met in one of his Master classes and he was so excited with me that he said "if Adele listened to me he would be excited"!
I also sing at various art and rock song evenings organized by Cypriot students here in Bulgaria. In addition, I have taken part in a charity event for the Orphanage.
Yes, I would like to take part in a Greek talent show. My future plans are X-Factor and The Voice.
I'm competing with her Sunday, March 17, 2019. I'm in the blinds auditions of the competition after I first went through Casting.
