Famagusta: "336 Greek Cypriots have applied to the 'real estate committee'" according to Tatar

A total of 336 Greek Cypriots have applied to the "real estate committee" of the occupiers, said Turkish leader Ersin Tatar, adding that with the opening of Varos, the Greek Cypriot side "has begun to see the reality".

In an interview with CNNTurk earlier today, the Turkish leader said about Varosia that "the Turkish government helped us in this matter" and added that "the opening of Varosia was done with the support of Turkey and President Erdogan". .

As he said, a total of 336 people applied to the "real estate committee". "With the opening of Varosia, the Greek Cypriot side began to see the reality," he said. For the base in occupied Lefkonikos, Ersin Tatar said he would save 6 to 7 hours for Turkish armed unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

He argued that the region was of strategic importance, adding that "while all rights in Cyprus were being violated, the UN remained a mere observer. They never got involved, they remained silent ".

Referring to the 6-month extension of the mandate of the UN peacekeeping force in Cyprus, Mr. Tatar said that this was done mainly at the request of the Greek Cypriot side. As he said "tdbk was not treated as an equal partner" and added that "you should ask the Turkish Cypriots as you ask the Greek Cypriots".

Mr Tatar said the presence of Turkish troops "brought peace" and added: "On the day the Turkish troops leave Cyprus, clashes in the area will start again." "Peace on the island was brought by the Turkish armed forces and not by the UN," he continued. "We must never allow our ties with Turkey to be severed," he said.

Regarding the situation in the eastern Mediterranean, the Turkish leader argued that there is a struggle for supremacy in the eastern Mediterranean: “The TRNC is as dominant as the Greek side. "We want to have a say as a sovereign state," said Ersin Tatar, adding that "the TRNC has entered into its own agreement with Turkey."
