Europe is not impartial on the issue of Varos, said "Foreign Minister" Kudret Ozersay, commenting on MEPs' visit to the occupied territories today.
In a written statement, he claimed that the European authorities prefer to receive information only from one side and that the European Parliament refused to hear or have a meeting with official representatives and institutions of the Turkish Cypriots.
European authorities, he said, must take into account the sensitivities of both sides and listen to both sides.
He also expressed satisfaction that there were no problems in contrast, as he said, with what is written in the Greek press, adding that the "security forces" warned some people who took pictures in areas where this is prohibited.
Mr Ozersay said that if the EU wants to contribute to a solution, it must stop supporting one side and that if the Greek Cypriots voted in favor of the Annan plan then Varosi would be returned to them after a short period of time.
He added that Varosi had been included in confidence-building measures many times in the past, but efforts
they failed due to the negative attitude of the e / k side, as he claimed, saying that this should be taken into account when evaluating the issue.
