Occupied Amm/stos: 32-year-old stabbed a lawyer and then a urologist

Not only a work stoppage, but also a protest march in the occupied Nicosia, all the workers in the health sector carried out because of the attack with a knife that a urologist received in Famagusta the day before yesterday by a 32-year-old because he did not like the treatment he gave him.

As reported in the occupied territories, with the main slogan "If there is violence, there will be no service", doctors and nurses in general hospitals, health centers, medical centers gathered in the morning after 9 when the work stoppage began, in front of the "Ministry of Health" and they marched towards the "Parliament", the plenary session of which is meeting today.

Health workers held banners and chanted slogans such as "Today us, tomorrow you", "Whose turn is it?", "This knife has hit us all", "The health workers are here, where are the MPs?" , "Let the medical deputies come out".

The protest was organized by the Cypriot Nurses and Midwives Association, the Cypriot Doctors Association, the Cypriot Medical Association and the Cypriot Pharmacists Association.

Doctors and nurses pointed to increasing incidents of violence against their colleagues, such as the attack on a paramedic in recent days and the latest, the stabbing of urologist Sadretin Tuju.

The attack against the doctor was condemned by many politicians and social organizations in the occupied territories. The "health ministry" announced today that it will create an "anti-violence committee" with the aim of taking measures to prevent the recurrence of such incidents in the health sector.

The Turkish press reports today that the 32-year-old seems to have been facing psychological problems, which started after he returned from the USA, where he completed his studies. In a recent post, Avrupa writes," the 32-year-old wrote that he returned to his country and "the TRNC killed me." It is noted that 3 days before he had stabbed a lawyer in occupied Nicosia, while he stabbed the doctor in Famagusta five times.

The urologist is hospitalized out of danger at the general hospital of Famagusta and his health condition is considered good.
