According to the spokesperson of the Fire Service Andreas Kettis, "a few minutes before 11 pm on Saturday, November 6, a fire broke out in a warehouse located next to a two-storey building in the community of Avgoros in the free province of Famagusta. "Three vehicles and men of the Fire Service went to the scene immediately, who managed to extinguish the fire".
The fire caused extensive damage to a wooden pergola, a metal shed and auxiliary premises where foreigners lived.
Damage was also caused to the main house, as the fire broke the windows, while smoke entered inside.
No one was injured in the fire.
The causes of the fire will be investigated today by the Fire Brigade and the Electromechanical Service in collaboration with the Police.
