AUGOROU: Public hearing for the licensing of a livestock unit

A public hearing is being held by the Council for the Study of Deviations in relation to an application for the granting of a planning permit in derogation of the provisions of the Local Plan of the Free District of Famagusta, for a livestock unit for goat, sheep and cattle breeding, in block no. 280, of Tax Code 2-274-378, Section 10, in the Community of Avgorou, in the District of Famagusta.

The Council for the Study of Deviations announces that a Public Hearing will be held for the purpose of examining the application of Mrs. Evdokia Hartupallou (AMX/0461/2021). The application was submitted based on the provisions of Article 26(2) and 26(3) of the Town Planning and Spatial Planning (Amendment) Law 142(I)/99 and the Town Planning and Spatial Planning (Exceptions) Regulations of 1999 (K.D. P. 309/99).

The Public Hearing, which is a form of public dialogue and consultation between the interested parties, aims to ensure conditions of transparency and democracy in the application examination process.

The purpose of the hearing is mainly to provide the most complete and accurate information to the Deviation Study Council, so that this body can reach a complete and substantiated recommendation to the Council of Ministers for a final decision.

The Public Hearing is open to the public and will take place on Friday 20/01/2023, at 11.00 am, at the Avgorou Community Library (tel. 23923770). For the purpose of avoiding the spread of the disease COVID-19, the health protocol will be observed (2m distances, protective mask, antiseptic, etc. It is noted that at 10.15 am, there will be a visit to the development site.
