AVGOROU: Preparations for the big local celebration of the Apostles Peter and Paul

The community of Avgorou is preparing for the big local celebration of the holy temple of the Apostles Peter and Paul next Monday, June 29.

The Holy Diocese of Constantia-Famagusta posted the program of the festivities.

This announcement:

Friday, 26 June

6:30 pm: In the community square there will be a reception of the Holy Relics of the Apostles: Andrew, Thomas, Paul, Timothy, Titus and Philip. The holy relics will be transferred from the Holy Diocese of Constantia and Famagusta where they are kept.

7:00 pm: Vigil - During the Vigil there will be Holy Communion, Holy Eucharist and Prayer.

Saturday 27 June

6:00 pm: Trisagia in the cemetery

7:00 pm: Vespers and Prayer

Sunday June 28

Recovery of the holy relics of Cyrus and John of Anargyros

6:15 a.m.: Orthros and Divine Liturgy

7:00 pm: Festive Vespers-procession of holy icons and holy relics

Leading Apostles Peter and Paul

6 am: Orthros and Hierarchical Divine Liturgy of the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Constantia and Famagusta Mr. Vassilios.
