Around 7 yesterday afternoon, a 19-year-old man from Limassol, while driving his car, in an area of Ayia Napa, under conditions under investigation, collided head-on with a car driven by a 33-year-old man from Nicosia.
The 19-year-old's car then hit a parked vehicle and came to a standstill. Both the 19-year-old and the 33-year-old were taken to the Famagusta General Hospital as a precaution, where they received first aid and were discharged.
The 19-year-old driver underwent a breathalyzer test with a final reading of 72μg instead of 9μg, resulting in his arrest for a self-inflicted crime.
The Agia Napa Police Station continues the examinations.
