As part of the collection and evaluation of evidence, members of the National Security Agency (Klimakio Famagusta) spotted yesterday evening a 38-year-old man, in a parking lot in Ayia Napa, placing various objects on the ground in some places, while in another place he was seen taking something from the terrain.
The members of YKAN stopped the person in question and during the physical control that followed, he was found to be in possession of two nylon packages containing a total of 2 grams of cannabis and he was arrested for a self-inflicted crime.
The area where the arrested person was seen placing objects on the ground was then searched and a nylon bag was found which contained 8 nylon packages of cannabis plant material, total weight 8 grams and seven nylon packages containing white powder believed to be cocaine, total weight 3,5 grams.
A second nylon bag was also located in the same area containing 23 nylon packages of cannabis plant material weighing a total of 23 grams, eight nylon packages containing a total of 16 MDMA (ecstasy) pills, as well as 10 nylon packages containing a total of 5 grams of a white powder believed to be that it is cocaine.
All of the above was received and held as evidence while the 38-year-old was taken into custody.
