The Government was represented by the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works Giannis Karousos in the presence of the Mayor Christos Zannettos, the members of the Municipal Council of Ayia Napa, representatives of the military and police force of Cyprus and other officials.
After the end of the Divine Liturgy, the waters were consecrated and the Holy Cross was baptized in the port of Ayia Napa.
