A swimmer was found dead from Nissi Beach in Ayia Napa.
According to the police, the incident took place at 3 in the afternoon, when bathers found the man floating unconscious.
Evros Evripidou, 69 years old from Limassol, is dead.
The unfortunate man had gone swimming with his two daughters. He was given first aid on the beach, to no avail and was then taken to the Famagusta General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The causes of his death will be determined in an autopsy which will be determined at a later stage.
