Mayor Christos Zannetou, on the occasion of completing two years of his mayoralty, made a brief review and report of these two years.

Two whole years today from the day I took over the reins of the Municipality of Ayia Napa.

Two very difficult years for our Municipality: with many problems and an unprecedented pandemic for humanity which undoubtedly had a huge impact on the tourism industry (in a Municipality whose income depends 90% on it).

Nevertheless, during these 731 days we managed together with the collaborating municipal councilors and the staff of the Municipality to achieve things that seem impossible.

Despite the economic contraction due to a pandemic, we kept all the jobs for all the staff and seasonal staff. At the same time, we proceeded with the implementation of major projects of the Municipality, while we will soon announce the offers for new ones. In the Municipality of Ayia Napa we have started the construction of playgrounds, squares and other reference points. We place special emphasis on projects aimed at upgrading the quality of life of our citizens in residential areas. Projects that I had announced that I would proceed with the planning and implementation during my election campaign.

In addition to the above, it is good to not forget that there is an Ayia Napa Sewerage Council (SAN) whose viability through the pandemic required bold decisions for the implementation of projects and its financial strength.

With love, vision and perseverance I will continue with all my strength for the best of our Municipality, which will ensure and ensure the development, quality and progress of our city. As I have done from the first day of my term as Mayor until today, my door will continue to be open to everyone, aiming at the constant effort to solve problems or concerns that concern my constituents.

All together with tireless efforts we will continue for the future of our Municipality, and the future of our children. We are moving forward together, Ayia Napa deserves it.
