A Norwegian couple was declared "Tourism Ambassadors" of Ayia Napa by the Cultural Officer of the Municipality Ms. Maria Tofini Tsandila
In a modest ceremony that took place in the reception area of the Municipal Building on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, the Cultural Officer of the Municipality Mrs. Maria Tofini Tsantila honored with a commemorative plaque and the emblem of the "Ambassador of Tourism of Agia Napa", on behalf of the Mayor Mr. Christos Zannettos, the Norwegians Tormod Gunnar and May Borgny F Jukmoen, who have made 48 visits to date. Due to a sudden illness Mrs. Jukmoen was unable to attend the ceremony.
Mrs. Tofini thanked Mr. Jukmoen for the couple's multiple visits, which she pointed out demonstrate the special preference they show for Ayia Napa while promoting in the most practical way that it is a worthy tourist destination that must be visited often.
