Agia Thekla: Lifeguards rescued a woman from drowning

The Lifeguards of the Famagusta Provincial Administration were called to deal with an incident involving drowning in Agia Thekla.

Specifically, on June 21, 2023, on the beach of Agia Thekla, an 80-year-old woman had lost consciousness while swimming.

She was immediately noticed by the lifeguards and as with their timely response, they provided her with first aid (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) where they successfully revived the 80-year-old woman.

An ambulance was called to the area where it picked up the woman and transported her to the Famagusta General Hospital for preventive treatment and further examinations.
