EXCLUSIVE: New upheaval in “gang rape” case - Illegal videotape case under investigation

A new upheaval seems to be taking place in the case of the "gang rape" in Ayia Napa. After the upheavals with the admission of the 19-year-old British woman for false testimony to the Police and pending the hearing on August 7, where she is now accused of public harm, the case seems to be taking a different turn.

According to reliable information from Famagusta.News, the Police have started the preparation of a case file for the illegal videotaping in which the twelve Israelis appear, according to its complaint, to have acted during the disputed night. The case already seems, according to the information, to be investigated by the Famagusta TAE after the performances of the lawyer Andrea Pittatzis on the subject, that the young people allegedly videotaped what happened at midnight on the 16th to the 17th of July in a hotel room. Ayia Napa.

Her lawyer told foreign journalists after the July 30 hearing that the video leak was a very serious case and wondered who posted the video and why he had not yet been brought to justice.

See the statements of Andrea Pittatzis's lawyer to foreign journalists:

It is recalled that the case has caused a stir since July 17 when the young woman reported to the Police that she was the victim of gang rape by twelve young people from Israel. All of them, aged between 15 and 19, were arrested by the Police, while five of them were released on July 25 after nothing against them emerged and there was no evidence to link them to the case.

The other seven Israelis were released at noon on Sunday, July 28, after the British woman admitted to giving a false statement. Subsequently, on Monday morning, she appeared before the Famagusta District Court for a detention order, while in the absence of her lawyer abroad, the proceedings were postponed to the next day, during which she accepted her detention until August 7 so that the lawyer to take the time to study the "massive" as he characterized it as evidence and the scientific and telecommunication data of the police investigation team.

On the morning of Wednesday, August 7, the British woman will appear before the district court again for a new hearing on the charge of public damage, which according to the penal code carries a prison sentence of up to one year or about one thousand seven hundred euros.
