Municipality of Ayia Napa: The date of suspension of works is extended

In the context of the latest developments regarding the confirmed cases of Koronovirus in Cyprus and the new measures announced by the Ministry of Health and in the wider effort made by the State to reduce it, the Municipality of Ayia Napa begs its citizens to complies with the instructions and instructions given by the competent Ministry.

In view of the above effort, the following measures that were determined in a previous extraordinary meeting of the Board of Directors dated 15.3.2020 to prevent the transmission of the Coronavirus are extended as follows:

The offices of the Municipality of Ayia Napa and the Sewerage Council of Ayia Napa will be closed to the public until May 15, 2020.

· Ayia Napa Open School programs are suspended until May 15, 2020.

· The Thalassa Municipal Museum will remain closed to the public / visitor until May 15, 2020.

· Civil Marriages are suspended until May 15, 2020.

· Every cultural activity / event of the Municipality of Ayia Napa is suspended until May 15, 2020.

All scheduled Easter Events of the Municipality of Ayia Napa are canceled.

· The operation and provision of all kinds of services at the Ayia Napa Sports Center is suspended until May 15, 2020.

· The organization of the Ayia Napa Youth Soccer Festival 2020 which was scheduled between the period 11.4.2020 -16.4.2020 is canceled

· The receipt of applications for issuance of licenses for operation / alcoholic beverages / billboards / building permits / dog licenses / Health certificate, etc. is also suspended until May 15, 2020.

· Letters / applications / objections / requests will be accepted both electronically via the Municipality email: info@agianapa.org.cy and via fax: 23-722607.

· The current debts of the Municipality can be paid online through JCC smart without any charge being imposed until May 15, 2020.

· No services will be provided on the beaches of the Municipality, only they will be supervised for safety purposes to any bathers. At the same time, it is recommended to avoid using the beaches as well as any bathers are encouraged to keep their distance from each other.

· Within the framework of the suggestions of the Ministry of Health, the Municipality will carry out every possible disinfection of public spaces but at the same time invites the public to avoid as much as possible the use of public playgrounds / games.
