Diplomatic mission visits Ayia Napa marina (PICTURES)

A diplomatic delegation consisting of financial and commercial Attachés of foreign Embassies in Athens, visited today the marina under construction in Ayia Napa.

A written statement states that "the large delegation in collaboration with Enterprise Greece and under the auspices of the Embassy of Cyprus in Athens, held, in the framework of an initiative to stimulate extroversion and promote business opportunities on the island, the construction site of the marina of Ayia Napa ".

It is added that the visitors "were welcomed and guided at the construction site by the CEO of MM Makronisos Marina Ltd, Stavros Karamontanis, who stressed the importance of the construction of the Ayia Napa marina to enhance maritime tourism in the Eastern Mediterranean and its contribution. to upgrade the tourism product of Cyprus by attracting quality tourism throughout the year ".

He added that "the Ayia Napa marina is a unique project not only for Cyprus but also for the whole of Europe, as the technology used for the construction of both the marina and the other areas, is absolutely innovative. This important project has already gained international fame, a fact that is recorded in the special interest shown by buyers and investors, worldwide ".

Mr. Karamontanis also stated that "more than 75% of the eastern Tower has already been sold in the Ayia Napa marina and the interest is growing mainly in the markets of Russia, the Middle East and Asia".

During the tour "the foreign diplomats had the opportunity to see the significant progress of the work as the first phase concerning the infrastructure of the projects is almost completed and only the additional final landing is left. The prefabricated concrete units are in the final phase, which are produced by two prefabricated concrete factories near the construction site ".

The announcement also states that "the southern breakwater is in full swing with some prefabricated concrete units in the process of installation, the superstructure of the road is almost complete and the supporting foundations of the road in the breakwater and road works are being completed quickly. The visitors were very impressed by the evolution of the construction of the main buildings and the buildings that make up the commercial area, while the administration offices and the government buildings are also progressing at a fast pace ".
