The mayor of Ayia Napa, Giannis Karousos, expressed his dissatisfaction regarding yesterday's news about a robbery against a shopkeeper, who is wrongly involved in Ayia Napa.
According to the Police, the 52-year-old, who maintains a liquor store in Protaras, after closing his store, took the day's collection from the cash register and left for his home.
The theft took place in Larnaca, outside the victim's home, when strangers entered from the back seat of the vehicle parked in his home and snatched a bag containing 30.000 euros.
Mr. Karousos emphasizes that the robbery has nothing to do with Ayia Napa.
