Cape Greco: Operation to rescue a woman in danger

The Fire Department rescued a woman from rocks in the sea caves in Cabo Greco.

According to the representative of the Force, Andreas Ketti, members from the Famagusta Fire Station responded to the scene with a rescue vehicle and the woman was approached by firefighters, immobilized with a special stretcher, pulled out with ropes, handed over to the crew of the Ambulance Service and transferred to the General Hospital of Famagusta .

Mr. Ketti reminded that the approach and especially the dives at the point of the sea caves are strictly prohibited, because according to the inspection of the Department of Geological Survey, the ground has been deemed dangerous due to increased erosion.
