More than fifty friends of literature and poetry, lovers of George Seferis marched "In the footsteps of George Seferis", as the Municipality of Ayia Napa named the Literary Walk it organized.
The walk started from the Municipal Museum "Thalassa" and followed in the footsteps of the poet, that is, from the old cafe, a meeting place of locals and foreigners, the Monastery with the old fig tree, which the poet called "lad tree", and finally the harbor who had lunch with his Cypriot friends so many times.
The historian and archaeologist, Dimitra Ignatiou guided the participants to the places visited by the Nobel Prize-winning poet. At the Thalassa Museum, as part of a discussion, Professor George Georgi and the philologist Eleni Antoniadou spoke about George Seferis and his relationship with Cyprus.
As it was mentioned, "Ayia Napa is the pre-eminent place of Seferikos that the great writer considered as his second home".
The walk was co-organized with Public and the Cultural Tourism Company Discover Greek Culture.
