In the marina of Ayia Napa for exercise the Navy (IMAGES)

The visit of six ships of the Navy of the Republic of Cyprus to the facilities of the Marina of Ayia Napa on May 21 was extremely interesting.

The Ayia Napa Marina, which has just started operating, has the ability to serve all types of ships, including the Navy, and the visit is part of the training and familiarization of crews with the available port areas in the free province of Famagusta. The ships of the Navy that participated in the activity were the vessels of OUK "NIREAS" 1 and PP "TSOMAKIS", PP "GEORGIOU", PATH "IOANNIDIS" and PP "AMMOCHOSTOS". The crews had the opportunity to tour the boats of the Ayia Napa Marina and to see up close the high level services provided for refueling, repairs, etc.

The representatives of the Navy were welcomed and guided in the premises of the Agia Napa Marina, the General Manager of the company MM Makronisos Marina Mr. Stavros Karamontanis and the Director of the Marina Mr. Costas Fytiris. During their reception, Mr. Karamontanis expressed his joy that he welcomes ships and crews of the Navy and stressed that the Marina of Ayia Napa will always be at their disposal for any hosting needs that may arise in the future during their training exercises and operations.

Presenting the complete plan of the Agia Napa Marina for the mooring of boats and the related services, Mr. Karamontanis stated that boats with a length of up to 65 meters can be moored in the marina, while on land, in the specially designed 4-level storage area. (Dry Stack), boats up to 10 meters long can be stored.
