The 21-year-old Cameroonian was arrested by the Police in Ayia Napa for a case of a stolen car.
According to the Police, at 12:30 on Monday afternoon, a member of the Famagusta Traffic Police stopped a car in Ayia Napa, which he saw passing a pedestrian crossing.
An inspection that followed revealed that the car had been declared stolen in Limassol.
The 21-year-old Cameroonian driver was arrested and taken to the Ayia Napa Police Station where he was found to be in the Republic without a residence permit and was taken into custody.
The theft of the car is being investigated by the Limassol Police Department, while the Ayia Napa Police Station is investigating the traffic offenses.
