A person was arrested last night for driving under the influence of alcohol in Ayia Napa and was arrested.
According to the Police, shortly after 10 last night, members of the Famagusta Traffic Police stopped a car driven by a 34-year-old foreigner, a permanent resident of Cyprus, on Nisi Avenue in Ayia Napa.
The driver underwent a preliminary alcohol test with a reading of 128mg instead of the normal 22mg.
The 34-year-old did not give a satisfactory expiration sample, was arrested for the spontaneous offenses of driving under the influence of alcohol and refusing to provide a satisfactory sample for a final alcohol examination and was taken into custody.
The case is being investigated by the Famagusta Traffic Police.
