Today the opening of the Christmas village of Deryneia takes place and the strawberry has put on its festive display.
According to the Mayor of Deryneia, the inauguration will take place in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Tourism and people are looking forward to visiting.
He also noted that Deryneia is a municipality that supports tradition and it is also the goal of the institution of Christmas villages, that is to promote local products. "I'm sure the kids who come tonight will not only see the strawberry but we'll also have Santa Claus handing out quite a few presents."
He also added that the 11 wooden houses are already staffed and the volunteers are ready to offer delicacies, hot wine, hot chocolate and various strawberry derivatives.
