The intention of the owner of the plot of land on which the modest monument of the heroic martyrs Tassos Isaac and Solomos Solomou is located, forces the "Isaac-Solomou Memorial Initiative" team to move it, in the next few months. According to the environment of the Solomos family, so far it has not been decided the new space to which the monument will be transferred and this will be done in the near future, as the owner of the plot did not request his immediate relocation. However, the intention of the members of the "Isaac-Solomou Memorial Initiative" is to satisfy the desire of the owner of the plot, also a person from the environment of the Solomou family, who spoke to "Phileleftheros".

According to information that saw the light of day, the owner of the plot recently contacted the Police, saying that he wants to move the monument, which was erected last December, as he intends to sell it in the future. The Famagusta Police Department informed the Police leadership and the Prosecutor's Office about this, asking the second instruction to handle the matter.

However, according to our information at present and at least after the consultation that seems to have taken place between the parties involved in the matter, no initiative will be taken by the Police.

However, on the occasion of the publicity given to the issue, the "Isaac-Solomou Memorial Initiative" in a statement expresses "its regret and dissatisfaction with the extent and the wrong ending that had a symbolic move in memory of the two heroes of Famagusta and clarifies:

The symbolic move, which took place in December 2018, in the presence of the parents of Tassos Isaac and Solomos Solomos, was carried out with the sole purpose of continuing the struggle of memory against oblivion. The Memorial Initiative, in the area next to the occupied roadblock of Deryneia, wanted to highlight the need to preserve the history of this place ".

With two white crosses, olives and carob trees, the statement added, the members of the Initiative then made a purely symbolic move, without violating the law and in full consultation with the Authorities, in order to safeguard the historical continuity of the Cypriot Hellenism again. . And it is with much surprise that it was announced in the Initiative that some people were annoyed and reached the Police Headquarters for a symbolic act of remembrance, forty-four years after the Turkish invasion of Cyprus and twenty-two after the sacrifice of Tasos and Solis opposite occupied Amos.
