Do you want to organize the Deryneia Strawberry Festival? The Municipality of Deryneia announced a bid
The Municipality of Deryneia is interested in hiring a qualified and enthusiastic person for the organization of the 12th Pancypriot Strawberry Festival which will take place on June 2, 2023.
Interested persons should submit their required fee amount in writing. The maximum cost of the Contract has been set by the Municipal Council on € 3000. The duration of the Contract is from March 10, 2023 to June 9, 2023.
Responsibilities/Duties of the person to be hired:
Organization of the Festival, planning and realization within the specified time frame.
Preparation of a program in consultation with the Municipal Culture Committee.
Cooperation with the participants (Organized Groups, Partners) to determine their needs and requests.
Organizing facilities and managing all event details such as decoration, entertainment, guest list, special guests, equipment, promotional material etc.
Market research, information gathering and offer management for the needs of the Festival.
Informing the Organizing Committee and daily communication with the Municipal Secretary on the progress of the work.
Submit ideas/suggestions to improve event services and quality.
Ensuring compliance with insurance and legal obligations in accordance with the Health and Safety Plan.
Coordination of work and instructions to the head of the labor staff and management of their work requirements for the proper setup of the Festival.
Cooperation with the promotion team of the Festival for its excellent promotion and promotion through the Mass Media and Social Networking.
Handling emergency issues that may arise on the day of the Festival with professionalism and foresight.
Evaluation of the Festival after its completion.
Responsibility for the management of the Festival's decommissioning.
Continuous communication/cooperation with the Municipal Council and the Municipality Service.
Requirements
Proven experience as an event organizer.
Portfolio of previous events (weddings, meetings, parties, corporate events, etc.)
Time management and communication skills.
Ability to independently manage multiple activities.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office (communication will be via email)
Letters of recommendation from previous clients/partners.
A degree in event management is an added advantage.
