Famagusta District: How many cases and deaths were recorded in 14 days

Evidence for the epidemiological picture in each province and the number of deaths is given by the National Report published by the Ministry of Health.

 

Specifically, among the cases diagnosed in the last 14 days, 1.234 (52,0%) had a place of residence in the province of Limassol, 557 (23,5%) in the province of Nicosia, 274 (10,4%) in the province of Larnaca, 159 ( 6,7%) in the province of Paphos, 114 (4,8%) in the free area of ​​Famagusta and 59 cases (2,5%) concerned British bases or resettlement or no information was available.

 

Also, in the last 14 days (November 3 - 16), out of the 2.366 registered confirmed cases COVID-19, 6,6% (n = 155) related to cases with a recent travel history, 85,5% (n = 2.023) related to domestic broadcasts, while 8% (n = 188) had an unknown epidemiological history.

Deaths

Among the individuals diagnosed with COVID-19 As of November 16, 40 deaths had been reported, with the underlying cause of the disease COVID-19 (mortality COVID-19: 0,5%). Mortality COVID-19 per 100.000 population is 4,6. Twenty-four deaths (60%) occurred in men and 16 (40%) in women. The median age of people with COVID-19 who lost their lives were 76,5 years (Intra-quartile range: 67-82,5 years). Fifteen deaths were reported in the province of Limassol, nine in the province of Larnaca, eight in the province of Paphos, six in the province of Nicosia and two in the province of free Famagusta.

The median time from the date of sampling to the date of death from COVID-19 was 11 days (End-quarter range: 5-17,5 days).

Among the individuals diagnosed with COVID-19 as of November 16, 51 deaths from each cause were reported (mortality from each cause on diagnosed cases COVID-19: 0,7%). Mortality (deaths from any cause in people with COVID-19 per 100.000 population) is 5,8. Thirty-three deaths (64,7%) occurred in men and 18 (35,3%) in women. The median age of people with COVID-19 who lost their lives were 77 years old (Intra-quadrant range: 68-84 years). Eighteen deaths were reported in the province of Limassol, twelve in the province of Larnaca, ten in the province of Paphos, six in the province of Nicosia, four in the province of free Famagusta and one death concerns British bases or resettlement or no information was available.

The median time from the date of sampling to the date of death from each cause in persons with COVID-19 was 8 days (End-quarter range: 5-17 days).
