Famagusta honors the 28th of October with parades and events (Program)

With eulogies, events and parades, free Famagusta celebrates the national anniversary of October 28.

Tonight at 7:30 p.m. Paralimni City Hall will take place the Pandemic Celebration of the National Anniversary by the Municipality and the High School of Paralimni with an artistic program which has been curated by the students and teachers of the school. The speaker will be the Director of Paralimni High School, Kyriakos Panagiotou. It will be preceded at 6:30 in the afternoon candlelight in which the 21st Naval Scout System and the 291st Paralimni Air Scout System will participate.

Also at 7:30 tonight candlelight will be held in Municipality of Sotira from the Catechism Meetings Sotiras.

Thursday October 28 2021

Tomorrow Thursday, at Municipality of Ayia Napa η Festive Doxology will be performed at 9 in the morning at the Holy Temple of Panagia Ayia Napa. The Festive of the day will be delivered by the Assistant Director of Paralimni High School Costas Koumi.

At Municipality of Sotira η solemn doxology will be performed at 8:30 in the Holy Temple of the Transfiguration. The solemn will be delivered by the President of the Youth Organization Cleanthis Koutsoftas. Will follow trisagio and laying wreaths at the Monument of the Fallen and Missing and a parade at 9:15 along Archbishop Makarios Avenue.

At Municipality of Paralimni, at 9:30 the Festive Doxology at the Metropolitan Church of Agios Georgios, his patron saint Metropolitan of Constantia-Famagusta, Basil. The Government will be represented by Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Christodoulidis. The Festive of the day will be delivered by Commander of the 7th TAX M / K PZ, Brigadier General (PZ) Loukas Hadjimichael. wreaths will be laid.

At 11:00 will take place on the 1st of April a Famagusta provincial parade with the participation of the army, banners of the municipalities and communities of the free and occupied province, of the secondary schools, of the Associations, of the Catechism Scouts and of the Organized Ensembles.

At Avgoros Community, at 9:15 the Festive Doxology and national memorial of George Karyos in the Church of the Apostle Peter and Paul. A greeting from the president of the community will follow Mr. Panagi Michael. The Familiar of the day will be delivered by the Member of Parliament for Famagusta, Mr. Nikos Georgiou.

It will follow parade, official greeting at the Community Palace and trisagio and laying wreaths at the Community Cemetery.

Doxologies and parades will be held in the other communities of the province of Famagusta, while all the measures provided by the decree of the Ministry of Health will be observed.
