Mass arrival of immigrants: 29-year-old and 27-year-old detained for eight days

The District Court of Famagusta issued today a detention order for eight days against two persons aged 29 and 27 to facilitate the Police's investigations regarding an investigated case of assisting a total of 458 illegal immigrants, who were in six boats and were spotted off Cabo Greco on Monday 11 March , to illegally enter the territory of the Republic of Cyprus.

The 29-year-old and the 27-year-old from Syria were on the 1st boat.
