The Police has launched an ex officio investigation regarding a video that has been released to the public, where a person can be seen beating a woman, the press representative of the Force, Christos Andreou, said on Thursday at KYPE.
He noted, further, that "it is proven" that some statements and depositions concerning the cases under investigation regarding the Holy Monastery of St. Avvakum have not been leaked by the Police, and have seen the light of day.
Asked by the KYPE about any developments in the investigations regarding the cases regarding the Holy Monastery of St. Avvakum, Mr. Andreou stated that the investigations are continuing intensively by the two investigative teams that have been set up.
He also said that the Police have launched an ex officio investigation into a video that has been made public where a person can be seen beating a woman. "We have launched an ex officio investigation into apparent offenses which appear to be being committed," he said.
Mr. Andreou also stated, regarding some statements and some depositions that have seen the light of day, and that concern some persons allegedly involved in the cases under investigation, that "they have proven not to have been leaked by the Police".
