Memorandum of Cooperation of the "EXELIXIS" Preventive Nursing Mental Health Program was signed on Monday, December 5 between the Municipality of Paralimni and the Ministry of Health.
The Mayor of Paralimni, Mr. Theodoros Pyrillis, was at the Ministry of Health, where the program was initially presented and then he proceeded to sign the memorandum of cooperation.
The "EXELIXIS" Program supports and participates in Preventive Actions in the Community, such as for vulnerable groups of the young population, planned actions in camps, summer schools and places crowded with youth, with the aim of preventing harmful behaviors to strengthen mental resilience.
Specifically, officials of the Ministry of Health who are housed in the Town Halls in collaboration with officials of the Municipalities, implement experiential workshops, prevention actions and enlightenment campaigns with the aim of promoting Public Mental Health. These interventions are aimed at the general population.
The program operates normally in the Municipality of Paralimni.
The purpose of the "EXELIXIS" program through various actions is to protect mental health and prevent harmful behaviors to strengthen mental resilience.
It is noted that the Municipalities of Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Strovolos, Lakatamia, Ypsonas and Geroskipou also signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Ministry of Health. The Municipality of Paphos also participates in the program.
