Marina Paralimniou: The contracts were signed (video + images)

The signing of the contracts for the start of another development project for the province of Famagusta, that of the Paralimni marina, has been completed today.

The project will cost 110m euros and will include 300 boats and boats. The first phase will be ready in 2020 and the rest in 2023.

Pyrillis: "Life project for Paralimni"

In his speech, the Mayor of Paralimni described Marina Paralimni as a life project for the Municipality. He said that the Competition for Marina Paralimniou's Project was announced in June 2015 and almost the entire business world estimated that there would be no bidder for the project due to the economic crisis that was affecting our country. Nevertheless, as he said, "we are entering the stage of implementation of the project, which is worth 110 million, a project whose positive systemic effects on the economy of our country are enormous."

Min. Trade: "Completion of a single shipping zone"

In his greeting, the Minister of Energy, Trade, Industry and Tourism, George Lakkotrypis, stated that “the Marina Paralimniou, which will be declared an official entry point to the Republic (Port of Entry) as soon as it operates, around 2021, will have a capacity of 300 about ships. With an estimated value of € 110 million, the Investor has the right to build residential and commercial developments, in order to make the project attractive and viable. Of course, there are also developments that are necessary for the operation of the marina. ”

He also said that "with today's signatures, another important part of the great and ambitious puzzle of the development of Maritime Tourism in Cyprus is now in place."
He also mentioned that "after the Marines of Limassol and Ayia Napa, but also the recent vote by the House of Representatives of the Legislation and Regulations for licensing of mooring areas, the construction of Marina Paralimni, the second in the wider free zone Famagusta also contributes significantly to the completion of a single shipping zone. In addition, it is expected to be decisive in terms of the sustainable sustainable development of our economy, offering new jobs, further enriching our tourism product and attracting better quality tourists to our island. "
