PARALIMNI: The celebrations for the 25th of March were performed with all brilliance (PICTURES)

With all splendor and formality, the Municipality of Paralimni honored today the National Anniversary of March 25, 1821.
At 9:30 the Solemn Divine Doxology was performed at the Metropolitan Church of Agios Georgios Paralimni, officiated by the Most Venerable Metropolitan Constantia-Famagusta Vassilios.

The Government was represented by the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, Giannis Karousos.

The solemnity of the day was announced by the Chairman of the Educational Service Committee, Panagiotis Antoniou.
A trishagio followed and the laying of wreaths at the Monument of Heroes.

At 11:00 p.m. The student and military provincial parade of Famagusta took place along the 1st of April avenue with the participation of the banners of the Municipalities and Communities of the province of Famagusta, drawers and reserve members of the National Guard, public and private primary, secondary and technical schools, guides, catechism meetings as well as the Symphony Band "Harmony" of the Municipality of Paralimni.

The celebrations started on Wednesday, March 24 with Candlelight from the 291st Air Scout System, the 21st Marine Scout System, the Catechism of St. George, the Catechism of St. Barbara and the Catechism of St. Demetrius. Followed at 7:30 p.m. the Pandemic Celebration of National Anniversaries in the Event Hall of Paralimni City Hall. The artistic program was organized by Paralimni High School. Mayor Theodoros Pyrillis delivered a greeting on behalf of the Municipality of Paralimni.
