PASYXE Famagusta: High security in the sea and beaches

PASYXE Famagusta through its announcement expresses the need to ensure a high level of protection services for bathers, whether it is protection measures at sea, or protection of personal items on the beaches, or issues of cleanliness, pollution or compliance with regulations.

Beach and sea protection is, as mentioned, an integral part of the expected tourist services in any quality destination. To this end, a sufficient number of lifeguards are expected throughout the day, especially during peak times. It is equally important to provide a high level of supervision, training and motivation to professional lifeguards. We take for granted the provision of appropriate quality equipment, as well as the presence of appropriate observatories on all beaches.

The unimpeded accessibility of the rescue means to the beaches should be ensured by the competent authorities, without discounts or omissions that can be catalytic in case of emergencies.

Equally important is the adequate security monitoring of the beaches to prevent theft of property. To this end, the existence of storage areas on some beaches is welcomed and we expect their even wider use, while it is important to place signs with instructions to holidaymakers for better storage of their personal belongings.

To avoid such incidents, the presence of uniformed security forces, either special police officers or local police officers, would be very helpful.

We are convinced, says the announcement, that everyone, local authorities and other providers of such services show due diligence and place the safety and protection of bathers, either at sea or on the beach, very high in their priorities.

The province of Famagusta, the announcement closes, as a predominantly tourist area, should take initiatives for even more adequate provision of protection services on its beautiful beaches.
