Sotira: 19-year-old from a car accident in critical condition

Around 4.15 in the early hours of Saturday, a car accident occurred on the road Deryneia - Sotiras, when a car driven by a 20-year-old, with a 19-year-old co-driver and a 21-year-old passenger, under investigated conditions, deviated from its course and crashed into a tree.

As a result of the collision, the 19-year-old was trapped in the car and released by members of the Fire Service. As a result of the accident, all passengers were injured and taken by ambulance to Famagusta General Hospital. The 19-year-old driver of the car underwent an alcohol test with an indication of 20μg% instead of 50μg%, which is the limit set by the Law for young drivers. The Deryneia Police Station is investigating the causes of the accident.
