Jump over 30% in car registrations

The positive course of the year was continued by the car market, both in July and the first six months of 2016. Specifically, vehicle saloon registrations jumped this year, with the interest of drivers increasing for both new and used vehicles.

According to official data released yesterday by the Statistical Service, total saloon vehicle registrations increased by 31,1% in the first seven months of 2016, reaching 19.766, compared to 15.078 in the corresponding period of 2015.

At the same time, the registrations of passenger cars were increased to 16.343, from 12.537 in the corresponding period of 2015, ie there was an increase of 30,4%. The data for the period January - July 2016 are included in the report "Registrations of Motor Vehicles" of the Statistical Service.

According to the report, in the first seven months of 2016, 10.497 new and 9.269 used motor vehicles were registered. For the same period, the registrations in the saloons amounted to 7.897 new and 8.446 used.

In July 2016, the total registrations of motor vehicles amounted to 3.260, of which the saloons numbered 2.697. Of these, 2.338 were private vehicles, 8 taxis, 333 rental cars, 4 training vehicles and 14 vehicles for the disabled. In the same month, 9 buses, 244 freight vehicles, 24 mopeds under 50k, 263 motorcycles over 50k, 13 tractors and 10 other vehicles were registered.
