More than 4,9 million people around the world have signed an online letter to US President Donald Trump rejecting his controversial policies, including the anti-immigration decree.
"The world is against fascism, your fear and your hatred. We are against the violence, the torture, the killing of civilians that you are proposing. We are against the deportation of women, Muslims, Mexicans and the millions of people you attack simply because they are not like you, do not speak your language or do not pray to the same god as you. And we fill the void of your ignorance with understanding ", says the open letter published on the Avaaz website.
The letter was posted on the website a week after Trump signed a presidential decree banning all refugees from entering the United States for 120 days and suspending entry from Iran, Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Sudan. , Libya and Somalia for 90 days.
