Discussion on the integration of mobile telephony with the occupied territories

The issue of the integration of mobile networks in free and occupied areas is being discussed at a technical level, with political coverage and guidance from the President, so that a formula can be found to promote this measure.

According to information, the issue is being discussed between the CCCI and the T / C chamber and by the competent technical committee.

According to the same sources, this issue was on the agenda of a meeting for MOE between the President of the Republic Nikos Anastasiadis and the then Turkish Cypriot leader Dervis Eroglou, and there was a refusal by Mr. Eroglou to discuss the issue.

However, according to the same sources, no announcements are expected for MOE in the context of tonight's Anastasiadis-Akinci dinner, although both leaders can raise issues of their choice. "The President of the Republic has 4-5 issues that he is ready to raise and possibly Mr. Akinci has other issues or some of these issues to be identified," they noted.
