Fifty-six-year-old was driving drunk and caused an accident

A 56-year-old man was driving drunk in Paralimni, which caused an accident and he was arrested by the Police.

According to a police announcement, on Monday afternoon around 18:00 a car driven by the 56-year-old resident of Paralimni, collided on Megalou Alexandrou Street with a car driven by a 43-year-old resident of Paralimni.

As a result of the accident, none of the involved drivers were injured, while during the breathalyzer test that followed, the reading for the 43-year-old was zero, while for the 56-year-old the reading was 173μg instead of 22μg which is the limit allowed by law.

The 56-year-old was arrested and detained, while the Paralimni Police Station continues its investigations.
