More and more people are becoming addicted to its "smart devices", making more and more intensive use. Increased levels of stress have been observed by psychologists in those users who are with the mobile phone in hand, waiting for notifications from the networks to which they are connected.
These data and findings were presented at the annual conference of the British Psychological Society. "Smartphones are being used more and more by more and more people," said lead researcher Richard Bolding, referring to growing sections of the population using such devices.
"The more they are used, however, the more one develops addiction and impulsive behavior in them, thus intensifying one's stress," the researcher noted.
It is worth noting that these conclusions mainly concern those who use the devices for personal and not professional purposes.
